Riding skills:

Our trail rides (home-based or point-to-point) are generally designed for good or very good riders. If you have less riding experience but are interested in one of the offers, just contact us and we try to find a suitable solution. With the booking you have to valuate your riding skills, that can approximately be defined as follows:

1= beginner
A horse is new territory for you; cleaning, saddling and bridling a serious challenge.

2= advanced rider
You sat on a horse several times, but you partially are still unconfident dealing with a horse or when going riding.

3= good rider
You are able to control an even-tempered horse in all the gaits and if necessary you can deal with an unexpected situation on a trail ride. Good physical fitness.

4= very good rider
You can also control more difficult horses on a trail ride. Good physical fitness.

Weight:

For our rides a weight limit applies depending on the horses used (and on the riding skills of the guest). Please pay attention to the advices in the respective program.

Fitness:

For our trail rides you should have a good physical fitness. During a home-based trail ride you can take a day off in case you need a break, during a point-to-point trail ride you can’t.
Please: limber up and prepare yourself for your riding holidays – your horse will appreciate it and you will enjoy the rides much more!

Riding helmet:

Some of our partners expect everybody to wear a helmet, others let the guests decide individually. We recommend in either case to wear a helmet. Apart from your personal safety some insurances might refuse payments, if the safety helmet wasn’t worn.

Travelling alone:

Absolutely! – There are few holidays that are as suitable for people travelling alone than riding holidays. The shared passion for horses unites the guests!

Point-to-point trail ride or home-based program:

Home-based programs or point-to-point trail rides with no overnight stay outside the farm provide the comfort of coming back into the same room every evening and having to unpack and pack only once.
Therefore point-to-point trail rides with one or more overnight stays outside the farm are less comfortable, but a greater adventure.
During a home-based trail ride you can take a day off in case you need a break, during a point-to-point trail ride you most of the time can’t.

Itinerary:

Certain weather conditions or unexpected occurences may lead to the necessity of changing the itinerary of a program. This happens in the interests of the guests and the journey will always keep its character.

Booking:

Prior to your booking we have to check the availability of your ride. Therefore we ask you to contact us per telephone, fax or e-mail.
After having received our confirmation of availability you send us the booking form per fax or per regular mail and we reconfirm your booking right away.

Insurances:

We recommend a travel cancellation insurance (cancellation before and during the trip).
Furthermore we recommend a special health insurance for trips abroad, because for some services accomplished abroad the normal health insurance doesn’t pay.
It generally is important to have a private liability insurance.

Bancruptcy insurance:

The money you pay to DoppelReiter-Reisen is insured by a german bancruptcy insurance (R+V-Versicherung) – according to the law.

Flights:

We would be pleased to make you an offer for flight tickets as well – except tickets for Low Cost Carrier.
Our trail rides generally are offered without the journey, but we are happy to help you finding the best solution for you.

Price:

We generally offer a price per person, that is based on a double or triple occupancy. If booking a single room is possible, you find the single supplement underneath the price per person (or there is a notice, that no single supplement needs to be paid).

Rescission conditions:

Please notice that some trail rides or individually composed group tours might have rescission conditions that differ from the ones written in our general booking conditions. However we do point this out in the proposal.
